Liquid Trap Magnets for Paper Industry

Introduction

In this case, we worked with a major Southeast Asian packaging paper manufacturer to help them remove any ferromagnetic impurities from their cooling water system.

Challenge

The customer, a major Southeast Asian packaging paper manufacturer, was facing the challenge of removing ferrous impurities from their cooling water system. These impurities can cause damage to the system and reduce its efficiency. The customer needed a solution that could be easily installed in their existing system, withstand temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius, and handle two different flow rates for their cooling water system.

Solution

SINONEO MAGNETS provided the customer with six 316 stainless steel pipeline trap magnets, customized to meet their specific needs. The magnets were designed to be installed in the pipes of their cooling water system, where they would attract and remove any ferromagnetic impurities. The magnets were made with a PN16 RF flange, capable of withstanding pressures of 8 bar or more, and came with silicone seals for added durability. They were also designed with a surface magnetic field strength of 12000 gauss, ensuring effective impurity removal. Two different sizes of magnets were provided, DN200 with a flow rate of 10 cubic meters per minute, and DN125 with a flow rate of 5 cubic meters per minute, to meet the customer’s specific flow rate requirements.

Implementation

The customer contacted SINONEO MAGNETS through our website on May 23, 2023, via Skype. They requested six 316 stainless steel pipeline trap magnets, with specific dimensions and flow rates to fit their cooling water system. After two weeks of communication, the customer placed an order and SINONEO MAGNETS began production. The magnets were completed and delivered to the customer within 30 days.

Results

The installation of the pipeline trap magnets was a success. The magnets effectively removed ferrous impurities from the cooling water system, improving the system’s efficiency and reducing the risk of damage.
